About the Event
Shed Talk with Professor Dave Waltham - Climate Change Solutions - Why we need them, what they are and how can we pay for them? Professor of Geophysics at Royal Holloway, University of London. Professor Waltham is the author of ‘Lucky Planet’ a book about the 4.5 billion year history of the Earth’s Climate. He was also, until recently, director of an MSc in Petroleum Geology. He now campaigns vigorously for the Citizens Climate Lobby and was an observer for them at the COP26 Climate talks in Glasgow. His talk will discuss why Climate Change is real, serious and manmade but he will also cover what we can do to tackle this issue fairly and effectively.
This talk will last for approximately one hour followed by time for Q & A’s
Prior to Professor Waltham’s Talk, there will be a reading of the High School winning stories “Eco Flash Fiction” from pupils of Sir William Romneys and Westonbirt schools. Do come and join the conversation and support our young people.
