Individual household funding schemes


1. Warm Home Discount Scheme
A government scheme for people on low incomes, comprising a one-off discount of £150 off electricity bills.
Currently closed. Reopens October 2025.

2. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme
​
This scheme has replaced the Renewable Heat incentive one which closed in
March 2022.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme runs from 2022 to 2025 and grants are provided to
switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy appliances.
There are grants for the payment for and installation of:
Air Source Heat Pump £5,000
Ground Source Heat Pump £6,000
Biomass Boiler £5,000
There must be no outstanding recommendations for loft or cavity wall

3. Insulation Schemes

Homeowners who do not qualify for government funding (household income > £36,000)
One-stop-shop. Home survey – home energy plan – designing
improvements – select contractor – installation. FURBNOW is the

Homeowners who do qualify for government funding (household income < £36,000)
You may be eligible for the Gloucestershire Warm and Well Scheme –
fully funded insulation and renewable energy heating for your property.
