About the Event

Be a community hero and help develop a greener Malmesbury.  Come and join the discussion to find solutions to the climate emergency that we can work on together.

’Malmesbury Community Climate Action Network is a new platform that aims to bring ideas and resources together. We launch on January 11th with a Workshop Event inviting all people from our community to brainstorm together, make new contacts, pool ideas and resources and support each other in our quest against Global Warming and other green issues. For instance you may want to campaign from composting in this area or you maybe part of a school that wants to encourage car-sharing.  You might want to work with the town businesses to make Malmesbury a single plastic-free town or you may just want to make friends that share your concerns and fears. The ideas is that you come along, identify your clan or cause and together put steps in place to combat the particular issue that you feel most passionate about. You don’t need to be pioneering or pro-active however, you can simply just take part by showing up and showing you care, as its mostly about community and Malmesbury is pretty good at that!

This event will be a combination of short table brainstorms and evaluations as well as informative talks from people in specialist fields. There will be children’s activities and refreshments and whilst this is a FREE event, hosted by Malmesbury Town Council, we ask that you subscribe to the event via this Eventbrite link. We hope to see you there. We also have a Facebook group @Malmesbury Climate Action. Please join us there too.”
