About the Event
Bring your broken clothes and we'll mend them together. No previous sewing experience is necessary. This friendly sewing group focuses on repairing the clothes you love by darning, embellishing and altering - giving them a new lease of life so they are wearable for years to come.
Atelier Stroud have been running Meet Make Mend workshops from their base in Stroud and we are delighted to welcome them to Highgrove Traditional Crafts as part of the Greening Tetbury events throughout July.
You can bring along any clean clothing that needs a repair e.g. woolly socks or a jumper that need darning, a jacket that needs replacement buttons, dresses with torn hems, broken zips etc. You will be shown the techniques used to repair these items and together we will bring your clothing back to life.
This event is free, but we invite donations to cover the cost of materials. Refreshments will be available and we welcome anyone who is happy to participate in this session. Under 18's will need to be accompanied by an adult
