The staff and children at St Mary's Primary School are working hard towards becoming a single-use plastic free school as well as encouraging their children to connect with nature in their forest school. They are a key part of the Greening Tetbury movement.
Here's some of what they've already done
All milk is delivered in glass bottles and all water bottles are refillable
Less glitter is used and laminating is kept to a minimum
The catering supplier have stopped using cling film
Children are learning more about environmental issues
And here's some of what they hope to do next
Remove single use plastic from uniform supplies
Working with parents and suppliers to reduce plastic food packaging
