Very good news!

On the 25 th January 2023 at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of

Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg, a resolution to codify ecocide in national and

international law, was adopted overwhelmingly.

Unlike the European Parliament, PACE, which consists of 46 member states, is

not a legislative body, but nevertheless the passing of this resolution gives a

big push forward to the global initiative in recognising ecocide at the

International Criminal Court.
